Under the Patronage of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ADCDA)

FDIC Abu Dhabi — A Historic Milestone for the Region

FDIC Abu Dhabi marks a significant milestone in the international journey of FDIC, bringing its world-renowned fire and rescue community to the United Arab Emirates.

With a legacy that extends beyond Indianapolis, including FDIC’s presence in Bahrain in 2006, this Abu Dhabi edition builds on the event’s international reach while creating a new platform for the UAE and the wider region.

Held under the patronage of Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, FDIC Abu Dhabi brings together fire and rescue professionals, emergency services leaders, industry experts and technology innovators to advance knowledge, strengthen capabilities and foster collaboration.

This is not an exhibition transplanted from another market, and it is not a conference with a trade floor attached. FDIC Abu Dhabi is built the way FDIC has always been built: training first, community always, designed from the ground up for the region's fire and rescue services, delivered in both English and Arabic, and shaped around the operational realities of the Gulf and the wider Arab world.

Our Purpose — Building the Region's Fire & Rescue Community

Firefighters in action

Across the Arab world, an estimated 75,000 firefighters serve their communities every day — in national civil defense services, in industrial and petrochemical brigades, and in the fire services of ports and airports. They operate some of the most advanced apparatus in the world, protect some of the most complex risk environments on the planet, and carry the same dedication, professionalism, and courage as their peers anywhere on earth.

What they have never had is a home: a dedicated regional event where the fire and rescue community of the Middle East can train together, exchange hard-won operational knowledge, examine shared challenges candidly, and build the professional relationships that make every fire service stronger. Existing regional events serve adjacent markets — security, safety, HSE — but none is built by and for the fire service itself.

FDIC Abu Dhabi exists to fill that gap. Its ultimate purpose is to create a genuine regional community of the fire and rescue profession — one that convenes every edition in Abu Dhabi, trains to the highest international standards, learns from both regional and global experience, and speaks with a collective voice on the issues that matter to firefighter safety, capability, and professionalism across the Arab world.

A Dedicated Platform for the Entire Fire and Rescue Community

FDIC Abu Dhabi is dedicated to the interconnected disciplines that protect lives, communities and infrastructure. Its scope extends beyond firefighting and rescue to encompass the full spectrum of fire and emergency services, including:

  • Fire Prevention and Early Warning

Fire safety, risk reduction, prevention strategies, early detection, alarm systems and early suppression.

  • Firefighting and Fire Suppression

Operational readiness, fireground tactics, equipment, technology and incident response.

  • Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

Pre-hospital emergency care, medical response and the integration of EMS into emergency operations.

  • Technical Rescue

Specialist response to complex incidents including challenging rescue environments and high-risk operations.

  • Leadership, Training and Innovation

Professional development, operational excellence, emerging technologies and knowledge sharing across the fire and rescue community.

By bringing these disciplines together, FDIC Abu Dhabi recognizes that effective emergency response begins long before an incident occurs. Prevention, early warning, preparedness, firefighting, rescue and medical response are all essential, interconnected elements of protecting people and communities.

Advancing Fire and Rescue Across the Region

FDIC Abu Dhabi provides a platform for professionals to exchange expertise, explore emerging solutions and strengthen the capabilities needed to meet evolving fire and emergency service challenges.

Through training, technology, industry engagement and leadership development, the event aims to support a more prepared, connected and capable fire and rescue community across the UAE and the wider region.
