Founded in 1929 in Indianapolis, USA, the Fire Department Instructors Conference began with a simple conviction — that firefighters who train together, learn together, and share knowledge freely will protect their communities better. That conviction has carried FDIC through close to a century of unbroken heritage, through generations of firefighters, and through every transformation the profession has known.

Today, FDIC International is the definitive event of the global fire service.
